Meet the Pharmacy Choice Huonville Pharmacists:

Pharmacy owner Michael Grace has been a figurehead in the community for over 30 years and is still actively involved in the business. He spends less time here than he has in the past, but you may be lucky to run into him in the pharmacy on any given morning.

Adele Grace loves working for the community of the Huon Valley.  She believes that together we can all help make Huon Valley happier and healthier.

Tony Holmes has been a pharmacist for many years. He enjoys helping people and talking about cars.

Virginia Grimsey is HMR accredited, and makes her own Kombucha.

Cath Shreeve and Cherryl McKinnon have not been with us for as long as the other pharmacists, however they both bring many skills and knowledge to the Huonville Pharmacy team.

Blood Pressure Monitoring

If you or a loved one require blood pressure monitoring, we can do this for you in our Consultation Room. For best results, we recommend you sit quietly for a brief period to allow your blood pressure to settle. We can measure your Blood Pressure at regular intervals over days or weeks, and provide you with a report to take to your doctor at your next appointment. This service is free of charge.

Diabetes Checks and MedsChecks

 Our pharmacists are all qualified to complete Diabetes and Medication Checks. This is a free service that takes between half an hour and an hour to complete. If you take medications and haven’t had a Medscheck in the last 12 months, or have Diabetes, you may be eligible for this in-store consultation. Call to enquire or to make an appointment with your preferred pharmacist.

Medical Certificates

 We can provide Medical Certificates for a small fee. Simply walk-in, or phone to make an appointment with one of our pharmacists. If you require a Carers Certificate you will need to bring your sick child in with you. We apologise, and appreciate that this is sometimes difficult, however, this is mandatory.

NDSS Sub-Agent

Huonville Pharmacy is a sub-agent for NDSS. We carry popular lines of blood-testing strips, a wide range of needle sizes, lancing devices and Glucometers. We can help you register with NDSS if you are newly diagnosed and offer practical support to get you started.

Home Medication Reviews

We have a pharmacist who is qualified to perform Home Medication Reviews (HMR). Make the most of her medicinal knowledge and ask your doctor for a referral to us for a HMR. Carried out in your own home, a Medication Review is the best way to ensure you are taking your medications in the best possible way.
