DoseAid Sachets
We provide worry-free medication management in convenient tear-off sachets. DoseAid sachets hold all your regular medicines (even your vitamins) in a convenient roll. You will never have to worry about missing important medications again. Each sachet has the dose clearly marked with the date and time, they are rolled up in chronological order, and popped into a dispensing option that suits your needs. With easy tear packaging, it is effortless to empty the contents of the sachet. Conveniently sized at only 7cm x 7.5cm, you can pop a sachet in your pocket or handbag and be on your way. DoseAid sachets have many advantages; you don’t need to plan your outings around medication times, and there is no need to pack your own dosette box every week or carry a bulky blister pack with you. Home Sleep Study
Our Home Sleep Study is a convenient way of testing for sleep apnoea, in the comfort of your own home, and bed. In addition to testing, we also hire out CPAP machines to trial for a month. We stock a range of CPAP machines, humidifiers, masks, and spare parts. We do not sell these online as patient support is critical, particularly during the early phase of CPAP initiation.
Vaccinations
We can provide vaccinations for the flu, measles, tetanus and whooping cough.
Question: What is sleep apnoea?
Answer: Sleep apnoea occurs when the walls of the throat shut during sleep. Breathing can stop for up to a minute until the brain senses the lack of breathing from the reduction in oxygen levels. The brain then sends a signal to rouse slightly, just enough to open the upper airway, typically with snorts and gasps, and then goes back to sleep.
In most instances, a person with sleep apnoea won’t even realise they have had a fragmented sleep. The person eventually wakes up feeling unrefreshed, lethargic and continues through the day feeling sleepy.
Question: How do I book a home sleep study?
Answer: You do not need a referral from your doctor. The test costs $100 and involves using a Stardust® II Sleep Recorder which is set up before going to bed. The device is very small and more importantly, you are not tethered to the bed. It is very easy to set up and we will show you how to record your sleep overnight in the comfort of your own bed. We will then download the information recorded overnight and send it to a sleep doctor for diagnosis. Your nominated GP will be provided with the test results in one week.
