Home Sleep Study
We provide convenient testing for sleep apnoea in the comfort of your own home. We also have CPAP machines available for hire. This is a great way to trial a machine before you buy. We carry a range of CPAP machines, humidifiers, masks, and spare parts. We believe that patient support is critical, particularly during the early phase of CPAP initiation, so visit us in store to find out more.
DoseAid Sachets
DoseAid sachets are the perfect solution to prescription management, offering less confusion and wastage. The tear-off sachets hold all your medicines (including your vitamins) in an easy-to-manage roll. Each sachet is clearly marked with your name, the date and day of the week, the dose time and the quantity of each tablet. Conveniently sized at only 7cm x 7.5cm, you can pop a sachet in your pocket or handbag and be on your way. You no longer have to plan your outings around medication times, or pack and carry a bulky dosette box. DoseAid sachets allow you to remain independent and carefree.

Question: What is sleep apnoea?
Answer: Sleep apnoea is caused when the walls of your throat shut during sleep. This can prevent breathing for up to one minute. Once your brain senses a reduced level in oxygen levels, it creates a signal to rouse you slightly. This will open your upper airway, causing you to snort and gasp, then go back to sleep. Most of the time you won’t even realise you are doing this, however, it is causing fragmented sleep. You may wake up feeling unrefreshed, lethargic and sleepy throughout the day.
Question: How do I arrange a home sleep study?
Answer: Booking a home sleep study is easy, just talk to one of our friendly staff members. You will not need a referral from your doctor. For convenience, the test in carried out in the privacy of your own home, utilises modern technology such as the Stardust® II Sleep Recorder, and costs $100. The Stardust® device is small, but more importantly, it is not tethered to your bed. It’s easy to set up, and we will show you how to record your sleep overnight. We will then download the recorded information and send it to a sleep doctor for diagnosis. Your nominated GP will be provided with the test results in one week.
